Oportun is seeking a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to manage and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of cloud services. This role involves collaborating with development teams, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Designs, implements, and manages scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Utilizes Kubernetes to orchestrate and automate the deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
- Leverages ArgoCD And FluxCD for GitOps-based continuous delivery of applications.
- Implements Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Implements and manages monitoring and logging solutions for cloud-based applications.
- Implements and enforces security best practices for cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms AWS.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, ArgoCD/FluxCD/Istio/Renovate.
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with containerization and microservices architecture within EKS using Knative Services.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana Stack, NewRelic).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
