Oportun is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Developer Experience Team. This role is pivotal in enhancing engineering productivity and ensuring high-quality, rapid software delivery. The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software solutions that drive Oportun's mission, focusing on improving developer productivity through efficient CI/CD pipelines and insightful productivity metrics.

Responsibilities include:

  • Architecting, deploying, and managing CI/CD platforms, source control management systems, and test automation platforms.
  • Designing, building, and maintaining insights platforms and services to extract developer productivity data and surface actionable insights.
  • Driving consensus with strong, pragmatic opinions to deliver timely results.
  • Adapting to changing organizational needs and delivering impact.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD & SCM tooling.
  • Strong knowledge of Continuous Delivery SDLC.
  • 2-3 years of DevOps experience.
  • 2 years of experience with Linux /Unix operating systems.
  • Expertise in one or more modern programming/scripting language such as Ruby, Python, Golang, Nodejs, or Java like language.
  • Working in public clouds like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other teams within the same company.
