Staff Software Engineer- Business Intelligence

Job Description

Convera is seeking a Staff Software Engineer- Business Intelligence to join their team in Pune. This role involves overseeing the development and utilization of data systems, focusing on data analytics and business intelligence using Tableau. The candidate will work closely with business and IT leaders to ensure data architecture supports business goals and adheres to data governance policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Defining and evolving the technical vision for analytics, BI, and reporting.
• Driving the roadmap for BI modernization with a focus on scalability and self-service.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data visualization needs.
• Designing and maintaining interactive dashboards.
• Managing workbook publishing and data refresh schedules.
• Optimizing Tableau dashboards for performance.
• Developing and maintaining ETL processes.
• Cleansing and preparing data for analysis.
• Conducting training sessions and supporting end-users.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 12+ years of experience in business intelligence, utilizing Tableau.
• 5+ years in a lead or principal role.
• Extensive experience with MS SQL Server and relational database management systems.
• Proficient in writing complex SQL statements and scripts.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Tableau solutions.
• Expertise in Cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Experience with Visualization tools such as Power BI
• Banking domain experience preferred.
