Software Quality Engineer (PingAccess) at Ping Identity

Ping Identity is seeking a Software Quality Engineer to join their PingAccess team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for functional test design and planning, operation and creation of test automation tools and frameworks, and detailed staging of complex distributed test scenarios. This role involves close collaboration with developers, taking projects from start to finish, building product expertise, and providing impactful input.

• Development and execution of automated tests (primarily service/backend rather than UI)
• Development and maintenance of other test assets including test matrices, test strategies, test cases/plans
• Maintaining and extending the automation test framework
• Staging test situations to better understand situations reported from the field
• Actively participate in design and code reviews
• Stay on the forefront of knowledge in the industry and share information with other team members

The qualifications for this role:

• Working knowledge of the Java programming language
• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent grasp of the fundamentals of HTTP
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience with RESTful APIs and familiarity with JSON
• Experience writing test plans and test cases
