Manual Quoter at Xometry Europe

Xometry, a company connecting people with manufacturers, is seeking a Manual Quoter for their engineering team. The Manual Quoter will be responsible for client quoting, supplier sourcing, production planning, and supporting on-time order fulfillment. The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate proficiency in CAD, sheet metal design, and fabrication methods.

Role involves:

• Analyzing engineering models/drawings to define fabrication sequences.
• Making proper estimations considering materials, tooling, manufacturing, and inspection times.
• Working closely with machinists, quality, engineering, and management teams.
• Experience with sourcing material and finishes.
• Sheet metal estimating experience on prototype, low volume, and high volume quantities

Requirements:

• Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication technologies.
• Experience with programming and setup of water jet, laser, punch press, brake, and simple custom tooling.
• Knowledge of welding and cost estimations on welding.
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) proficiency.
• Familiarity with protocols, standards, technologies, and machining applications.
• Experience reviewing customer RFQs to determine material requirements and job routing.
• Ability to communicate with customers to define requirements and expectations.
• Experience working with outside vendors to achieve the best possible prices.
