Principal Data Architect at Mesh-AI

Mesh-AI is seeking a Principal Data Architect to design and deliver modern data solutions for enterprise organizations. The Data Architect will leverage expertise in modern technologies, data management approaches, and industry best practices to create scalable, robust, and innovative data solutions.Role involves:

• Designing high-level and low-level data architecture solutions.
• Developing, implementing and maintaining data lineage and metadata management approaches.
• Producing and owning architectural artefacts such as data flow diagrams.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure requirements are captured and implemented effectively.
• Advocating for and implementing best practices in data management.
• Implementing smart design components to pivot organisations towards data products.
• Acting as the SME to help clients understand and assess different solution architecture archetypes.
• Actively contributing to sprint planning, backlog refinement, and iterative delivery processes.
• Supporting the definition and maintenance of reference architectures, standards, and guidelines for data architecture.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in data architecture and design, particularly in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of data modeling techniques at all levels.
• Detailed understanding of the main data modelling approaches.
• Experience with tools and methodologies for metadata management, data lineage, and governance.
• Familiarity with designing and implementing solutions for deployment in data lakes, data warehouses, and operational data stores.
• Knowledge of modern data frameworks, including streaming platforms, NoSQL databases, and distributed systems.
• Solid experience in creating architectural documentation and artefacts.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional agile teams.
• Awareness of architectural principles and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
• A background in developing scalable, secure, and maintainable data systems.
