Data Scientist at Capstone Investment Advisors

Capstone Investment Advisors is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Data and AI group in London. The Data Scientist will work with AI researchers, portfolio managers, quants and engineers to integrate data and AI to drive investment strategies.

Role Involves:

• Partnering with AI researchers to integrate data and fine-tune LLMs for investment research and trade ideas.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of AI models including LLMs and data pipelines.
• Analyzing, designing, and curating core data products that can be integrated into our central data and AI platform.
• Analyzing traditional and alternative datasets using statistical techniques.
• Collaborating with PMs and traders to build data science tools that align with their investment process.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of our central data and AI platform.
• Playing a key role in developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience as a data scientist analyzing financial data sets and building data science solutions
• Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a quantitative or technical discipline or significant practical experience in industry.
• Strong analytical and data processing skills (Python), and ability to write production ready code
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with, and inspire, a wide cross section of data professionals.
