Senior Illustrator (CGI/3D) at Newsweek

Newsweek is seeking a Senior Illustrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong visual imagination and the capability to create sophisticated photographic illustrations, photo collages, and CGI-inspired visuals. This role is crucial in shaping the visual identity of Newsweek's magazine covers, features, and branded storytelling.Role involves:

• Creating original illustrations for various platforms
• Translating abstract ideas into powerful visuals
• Developing a consistent visual language
• Collaborating with art director and editorial staff
• Working across multiple media including collage, digital painting, and 3D renderings
• Adapting artwork for motion graphics and social media

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in editorial illustrations
• A portfolio showcasing conceptual illustration work in photographic or CGI styles
• Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite
• Knowledge of rendering techniques and 3D environments
• Understanding of composition, visual metaphor, and storytelling
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent written and spoken English
