Job Description
Mitsogo is seeking a Linux Monitoring Manager to manage and oversee the monitoring infrastructure for its Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, performance, and security.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for Linux-based systems.
- Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monitoring requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related issues.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments of monitoring infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Linux monitoring.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to monitoring alerts.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
- Willing to work in US shift timing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and monitoring.
- Sufficient experience in managing a team of min 8 members.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as Zendesk, ClickUp or Jira.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure components.
- Solid grasp of Linux performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
