Job Description

Mitsogo is seeking a Linux Monitoring Manager to manage and oversee the monitoring infrastructure for its Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, performance, and security.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for Linux-based systems.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring dashboards, alerts, and reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify monitoring requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related issues.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of monitoring infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Linux monitoring.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond to monitoring alerts.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Willing to work in US shift timing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Linux system administration and monitoring.
  • Sufficient experience in managing a team of min 8 members.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
  • Experience with ticketing tools such as Zendesk, ClickUp or Jira.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and infrastructure components.
  • Solid grasp of Linux performance tuning and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
