Senior Data Scientist (m/f/x) at KONUX

KONUX is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Munich. The ideal candidate will be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking solutions that solve real-world problems in the railway industry. He will work alongside a team of experts, driving innovation forward and ensuring that company values are embedded in everything they do.

Role involves:

• Developing insights using a wide range of data sources.
• Developing solutions from understanding the challenge and customer needs to model implementation in production.
• Deploying well-tested and maintainable models into a live system.
• Building tools and infrastructure that contribute to a sensor data analysis ecosystem.
• Contributing to the full software engineering lifecycle.
• Driving innovation and helping colleagues improve and grow.

Requirements:

• A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science.
• Fluent in Python and preferably proficient in one other programming language.
• Proficiency in data frame-centric data manipulation tools such as pandas, SQL, PySpark, or Polars.
• Motivation to engage in both data science and software engineering tasks to deliver production-grade solutions.
• Experience in building, testing, and deploying statistical or ML models in a production environment.
• Good understanding of software engineering clean code, best practices, testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with AWS or Databricks is a plus.
• Experience in leading project topics independently
