Job Description
Airbyte, the open-source standard for Data Movement, is seeking a Sales Director to lead and scale their sales team. This role involves defining the GTM strategy and driving the company's expansion in the market. The Sales Director will report to the Head of Sales and will be based in the Bay Area.
What this role involves:
- Leading, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing team of enterprise Account Executives.
- Identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities.
- Developing and executing a strategic plan to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Customer Success, Product) to align sales strategies.
- Managing sales forecasting, reporting, and overall pipeline management.
- Bringing creative solutions to complex challenges and iterating on the sales process.
- Inspiring a culture of hard work, collaboration, and customer focus.
- Encouraging continuous learning and understanding of a technical product and customer base.
Requirements:
- 4+ Years of sales management experience in B2B sales within SaaS / Cloud / Data platforms
- Demonstrated history of driving revenue and exceeding quota attainment.
- Proven ability to solve complex business problems and adapt to the fast-changing nature of high-growth companies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the business value of complex cloud technologies, especially with technical customers.
- Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
- An optimistic attitude and growth mindset.
