Nobu Hotel Toronto is seeking a Head Pastry Chef to lead their pastry team. The Head Pastry Chef will oversee all aspects of pastry production, menu development, and dessert presentation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the pastry team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Develop and execute innovative and seasonal pastry menus.
- Create and standardize recipes for all pastry items.
- Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory levels.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the executive chef and culinary team.
- Stay informed about industry trends and techniques.
- Plan and execute pastry offerings for special events and catering functions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of three years experience as a Head Pastry Chef.
- Culinary degree or certification from a recognized culinary institution.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills.
