Veeam is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their growing team in North Sydney, Australia. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for payroll administration for the APJ region, ensuring deadlines are met. The role involves managing employee details, communicating with service providers, processing payroll-related journals, and assisting with month-end and year-end processing.
  • End-to-end payroll processing
  • Managing employee details in the payroll system
  • Communicating with service providers
  • Processing payroll-related journals
  • Assisting in Month End and Year End processing
  • Resolving payroll queries
  • Preparing and lodging monthly payroll tax reporting
  • Preparing and lodging annual worker’s compensation insurance
  • Preparing and lodging FBT return
  • Helping with payroll reporting and HR analytics
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Commerce (Essential)
  • 5+ years’ experience in payroll
  • The ability to speak and write Mandarin, Japanese or other Asia languages is an advantage
  • Experience with payroll and ERP systems such as ADP, NetSuite, FloQast, and Workday (Desirable)
  • A sound understanding of payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation, and Work Cover
  • Extensive knowledge of general payroll practices, procedures, operations, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of numeric accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced computer skills
