Lightspeed is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Revenue Accountant to join their Montreal team. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Manager, Revenue Accounting, and will be a key player in improving decision-making processes by analyzing and optimizing operational data.
The role focuses on the company's complex revenue stream for software and hardware.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the software and hardware revenue stream.
- Conducting in-depth transaction walkthroughs for each revenue stream.
- Maintaining and building complex workbooks reconciled with financial statements.
- Analyzing trends and explaining variances to management.
- Implementing controls and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
- Leading data quality analysis and system performance evaluations.
- Leading projects and solving complex problems.
- Evaluating data quality in information systems and proposing solutions.
- Executing audit-related tasks and participating in analytical and accounting activities.
- Analyzing revenue related to bundled offerings and discount allocation in accordance with accounting standards.
- Evaluating financial impacts.
- Providing team training for junior team members.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of audit experience.
- CPA designation.
- Extensive experience with MS Excel.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and accounting standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience mentoring junior staff.
