Lightspeed is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Revenue Accountant to join their Montreal team. The Senior Revenue Accountant will report to the Manager, Revenue Accounting, and will be a key player in improving decision-making processes by analyzing and optimizing operational data.

The role focuses on the company's complex revenue stream for software and hardware.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the software and hardware revenue stream.
  • Conducting in-depth transaction walkthroughs for each revenue stream.
  • Maintaining and building complex workbooks reconciled with financial statements.
  • Analyzing trends and explaining variances to management.
  • Implementing controls and quality checks to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Leading data quality analysis and system performance evaluations.
  • Leading projects and solving complex problems.
  • Evaluating data quality in information systems and proposing solutions.
  • Executing audit-related tasks and participating in analytical and accounting activities.
  • Analyzing revenue related to bundled offerings and discount allocation in accordance with accounting standards.
  • Evaluating financial impacts.
  • Providing team training for junior team members.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of audit experience.
  • CPA designation.
  • Extensive experience with MS Excel.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 15 and accounting standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff.
