Job Description
Valon is seeking a Property Insurance Supervisor to manage the Property Insurance team and navigate various aspects of the escrow sector. Valon's Loan Administration team powers operations. This role ensures accurate insurance records and timely payment of insurance disbursements on escrow accounts. They will monitor the work of outsourced vendors and provide direct assistance to homeowners by resolving escalations and inquiries.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day operations related to escrow, insurance, and payments.
- Manage tracking of homeowners insurance to ensure active policies and timely renewals.
- Distribute and assign work.
- Provide ongoing training for the insurance team.
- Conduct performance reviews and develop team members.
- Build out the property insurance team and operationalize new processes.
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert for property insurance.
- Perform quality checks and establish quality control protocols.
- Liaise between third-party vendors.
- Review and respond to audits, taking corrective action.
- Drive process efficiencies and improvements.
- Lead other escrow responsibilities and projects.
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in property insurance at a mortgage servicing company.
- 1+ years of Supervisor or Manager experience.
- Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae servicing experience preferred.
- Vendor management experience preferred.
